 I have this combo in my TT, for the very same reason, I wanted to keep the stock adjustability function intact. Well I'll say this combo makes it more or less worthless as the ride is quite annoyingly bouncy in sport-mode that you really won't want to use it on anything other than very nice and smooth pavement, so you might as well go another route with Tokico or KYB. I think Kuah made a good post about how shocks need to be properly matched to springs according to damping and spring rates or something. IIRC he touched on this combo as well as other popular combos. As you can see in this picture the OEM springs are quite longer than Eibachs (that's the box my Eibachs came in) and (supposedly) sit the car ~.8" higher though I have not seen anyone actually measure this. I personally do not think it is a very desirable combo, though you can certainly drive on it safely, but don't be surprised if it chews up the bump stops and other rubber bits atop the suspension and you end up spending a nice bit of change having to replace them.
